Rules & Information
Air Conditioning / Electric Heaters: No household window type a/c allowed in RV’s or structure.
Additional Tents: Two sleeping accommodations are allowed per sight, one camper and one tent or two tents.
Building: There is no building, alterations, modifications or repairs to existing structures, roofs, decks without permission!
Check In & Check Out: Check in is 2:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am. There is a fee for early check in and late check out.
Cancellation Policy: Payments will be refunded in full minus a processing fee of 10% of the deposit if you cancel 14 or more days prior to your arrival date. If you must cancel less than 14 days prior to your arrival date, there will be no refund issued. Reservation fee is non-refundable. Holiday Weekends ( Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day) are a 3 night minimum and non-refundable and non-transferable.
Camp Fires: Camp fires are to be contained in a steel fire ring. Flame can be no more than 30” above the fire ring. Fires are to be extinguished before leaving the campground or retiring for the night. Do not burn or leave trash in the fire ring. Fire rings are not to be moved without permission from management.
Dam Building: There is no dam building in Nelson Run Creek.
Dumpster Use: Our dumpster gets dumped every other week. Please recycle all aluminum cans beside the dumpster. No large Items in the dumpster unless authorized by owners.
Electric & Water: Electric and water are to be disconnected upon your departure with the exception of metered electric. Per day charge for unmetered electric.
Feeding Wild Animals: Do not feed local wildlife. They become dependent.
Firearms or Weapons: Firearms must be secured and unloaded at all times. There is no discharging of a firearm or weapon in the campground.
Fireworks: Fireworks are not permitted at the campground without permission.
Mail: Campground cannot be used as a mailing address, only forwarded mail service delivery envelopes excepted.
Minors: Anyone under the age of 18 cannot be left unsupervised at the campground.
Motorized Transportation: All motorized vehicles including ATVs and golf carts must be driven by a licensed driver. Must be approved by management. Charges will apply. Children at no time can assist in the operation of a vehicle. Children’s ATVs, bullets, dirt bikes or battery cars are not permitted.
Pets: Maximum of 3 Pets per site. Pets are to be kept on a leash no longer than 6’. Owners are to clean up after their pets. No noisy /aggressive pets permitted. Pets cannot be left unattended. Owners must have current inoculation papers in your possession if needed while at the campground.
Quiet Time: Quiet time is from 11:00 pm - 8:00 am
Registration: All campers and their guests MUST register when first entering the campground. PLEASE have Car Passes on mirrors. All unpaid guest fees will be collected from the responsible party for campsite or cabin. A limit of 2 vehicles per camp site, a charge of $5.00 per vehicle over that.
Renewing Your Agreement: If you are not going to renew your agreement you will need to give a written 30 day notice or a one month rent payment may be incurred. The same one month written Notice will be granted you in the case of Austin Campground chooses not to renew your agreement.
Returned Check: A $40.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks.
RV Covering: May be covered with tarp from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
Satellite Dishes: May only be added with permission of placement from management.
Seasonal Owners: There can only be 2 seasonal owners per site. A seasonal site allows for 2 adults including owners and your children or 2 other children under 18. 18 and over is considered an adult. If no owner is present the guest fee applies to all persons. There is a maximum of 10 people permitted per campsite. Guests may only stay 3 nights.
Seasonal Payments: Fees are paid once a year on or before April 1 or in 2 installments on or before April 1 and then on or before August 1 for an additional fee. For late payments there will be late and billing fees. All payments due must be paid in full to use your site.
Seasonal Stays: A maximum stay of 10 consecutive days is permitted at the campground, after which all parties must vacate the RV or campsite for 7 days.
Selling a Seasonal RV: It is the seller's responsibility to notify the campground prior to the sale or transfer of ownership of the RV. If the intent is for the RV to remain at the campground all sales must meet prior approval and new owners must sign site agreement. Failure to do so may result in removal of RV.
Sites: Must be kept clean and free of debris and clutter when you are not here. There is no storage outside of your RV with the exception of 1 Grill, Small stack fire wood, 1 picnic table, 1 fire ring, and a portable sewer container. Any item left outside may be removed and discarded. A clean up fee may be imposed for any site that needs to be cleaned after departure. This includes but not limited to trash cans, buckets, toys, bikes, cinder blocks, ladders, hoses, mats, etc.
Sewer and Gray Water: DO NOT flush NON BIODEGRADABLE wipes such as baby or disinfecting wipes in your RV holding tanks or any of our septic systems. Please use RV toilet paper only. All sewer and gray water are to be disposed of in accordance with state law. DO NOT empty on ground!! A sewer hose can not be connected without a working sewer holding tank.
Sewer Service: For daily guests service is provided between 9:00am & 5:00 pm with notice for a charge. For seasonal guests, sewer service is provided 3 times per month for free. You MUST leave a note to be pumped out.
Speed Limit: Campground speed is 5 mph.
Storage: No storage of cars, boats, trailers, etc… without permission of management. NO storage under campers! We do live in the mountains and you need to be mindful of the wildlife.
Taxable Structures: All rents and taxes must be paid on time. Structure may be removed if rent or taxes are paid late. If selling RV all structures need to be removed, taxes paid for calendar year and RV removed from tax rolls.
Trash: The dumpster is for bagged household trash from campground use only. No electronics, tv’s etc... Please recycle ALL aluminum cans only. WE have no pick up for plastic or glass.
Water Usage: Water is for standard RV use only. Water cannot be used for recreational purposes or washing cars or ATV’s.
Washing of RVs: RV’s are required to be washed once a year for a fee of $10 for water usage. Must be approved prior to washing, Please see management as when this can be done. Hoses must be equipped with nozzle. Remember we have a limited amount of water.
Wood: Storage of wood not to exceed 6’ L x 4’ H x 3’ W
Visitors: The owner of the RV or responsible party of a rental cabin or site are responsible for any guest or visitor fees and the actions of their visitors and guests.
Austin Campground reserves the right to refuse service and the right to revoke or terminate any permit(s) if any of these rules are violated.
